When they say fun down on Smith Street, they actually really mean it. I can’t say we ever had that much fun at a street fair before. It was our debut appearance, unveiling three flavors of ice cream: brownsug whiskey vanilla, honey thyme which Gaia took to sing-saying, and chocolate con cayenne (which Kati took to saying with in gringa Spanglish). We handed out goji-chia baby Good Bars till they were gone, and got lots of yums and aahs all around.
We had several old friends stop by (thanks William Cerf & Michael Pierre), made some new ones, including Alex from Granola Lab, Nate from Raaka Chocolate, Kizzy? (I am SO bad with names) at Spoonable, Jessica & Sabrina at the Jam Stand (we owe u a pint, S), and Gaia’s new intern, Yasmine, and Mindy, and also Dave of the addictive pistachio crack, and a whole lotta others.
The kids came by later (one on the heels of a conference in Charlotte and the other wheeling in on her stroller). Ma Ham got in some dance time with them both while Pa Ham manned the booth. Sweet fun was had by all!
