The Artists

Marianne DiNapoli-Mylet
“My work focuses on emotion and rhythm primarily through music. I am fascinated by a spontaneous raw moment in a performance. I attempt to capture that moment, allowing the viewer an insight into the soul of a performance – hoping to entice the viewer to ‘feel’ the beat and ‘hear’ the music in my paintings and drawings.”

Amy Jordan Kincaid
Amy Jordan Kincaid is a native of Winston Salem, NC.  She works in multi-media, with an emphasis on chronicling memory, time and space. She is also the creator and host of Artists on Art, a live dialogue series with artists, about artists. Community engagement and facilitating fellow artists is an integral part of her life and work, including her work as a program coordinator at Sawtooth School for Visual Art. Sawtooth is a community art school that was founded by the WS Arts Council over fifty years ago.

The Ode to Pain monotypes are a continuation of a series that I began twelve years ago. The series began in drawing and painting and now continues in print. They are homage to a print that I acquired in the late 1990’s. The series reoccurs in my work when chronicling the memory of pain that is left behind.
